For today’s Thought of the Day, I decided to do a quote I came up with yesterday:
“It doesn’t matter if some people like the things you draw, write, or create. As long as you feel satisfied with doing it, and are proud of what you create; that’s all that anyone should truly care about. The only person you should try to impress the most, is yourself.”
~J. A. Ross
Life is more interesting when you can step out of just you and focus on others. To be so wrapped up in just one’s self is so limiting. It’s like living in this big beautiful world and never leaving your neighborhood. I want other people to matter!

You may have mis-interpreted my quote. It’s about having confidence in your work, and not letting other people tell you what’s good and what’s not good. It’s about taking pride in your work. Some people always have people look down on them, the quote is about rising above that.

I AGREE WITH YOU TO A CERTAIN EXTENT.

Putting all your focus into other people leaves little to yourself. Some people can manage, but some people need motivation from quotes like this to get themselves in a good spot.

Also, some people spend too much time focusing on others, and not enough on themselves. This quote is directed to them as well.

I AGAIN AGREE WITH YOU, SWINGING TO MUCH ONE WAY OR THE OTHER IS NOT GOOD. I THINK WE WOMEN ARE RAISED OR IT’S IN OUR GENES, TO PLEASE OTHERS.

I agree with you–it’s a sure road to insanity, trying to impress/please others; doesn’t have anything to do with caring about others–separate issue altogether.
